Shipping Woes
Posted by Michele on 7/9/2011

We know our chairs only weigh 4 pounds but yet it cost on average $10.00 - $14.00 per chair to ship depending on where you live. We are in southeast Georgia so if you live in California or in a rural area, UPS charges more to get the chair to you. They also charge more for a residental address than a business address.
We can only ship one chair at a time due to the size of the box. If we had a double box for two chairs, UPS considers this a 65 pound box even though it is only 12 pounds. The price would then drive up the cost quite a bit! We have tried Fed-Ex and the USPS but it all seems the same.
The up side of this though is that the chair is a great investment and will last a lifetime if taken care of. A lot of you are buying webbing to re-web chairs that are fifty years old or older! These chairs have not been made on a large scale for the past 10 to 20 years when overseas - meaning China, put all the domestic chair makers out of business.
The other up side of this is that our chairs are Proudly Made in the USA!!!
Thanks to all of you for your support.
