"Since beach chairs are used on beaches, which typically slope down towards the water, they need a more pronounced backwards tilt than a lawn chair, which sits on a flat surface. These have the same level tilt as the lawn chairs, which means that on a sloped beach, they lean forward, encouraging you to slide off the seat. A very basic design flaw that makes it impossible to recommend an otherwise decent chair."

"Retro yes, but functional is the reason I love these chairs. This is my second one! I like them because they are lightweight and easy to carry on the beach. Once you have an aluminum chair you’ll never want a heavy, rusty, akward chair again.
